With the holidays right around the corner I thought I’d better give you a quick update as to what’s been happening in my world in terms of art and design. As you can tell by the photo I’ve been busy working on a collection of metal sculptures(not to mention my winter beard). I’m participating in several shows and have installations all over the place right now. Here’s a list of where you can find it all:

Art shows:

Coming up next week, Tara Davis Studio is having a 12”x12” Group show that I’m part of, here’s the Facebook page for more info, opening is Friday, December 1st 5-10. Tara Davis has a smartly curated collection of local art and design, well worth checking out. It’s a great place to shop for the holidays.

Another group show I’ve joined in on starts next Sunday at the Wayne Arthur Gallery. The show is called Where Does Your Garden Grow? It’s a collection of art from 50 of the gallery’s artists. Artist Reception: Sunday, December 4 from 1 to 5 PM

Enjoy Italian cuisine? I have a solo show starting up December 1st at Cafe Carlo in Winnipeg. Running December 1st to March 31st, I’ll be showing my most recent collection of metal sculptures.

Another show & sale you don’t want to miss is by my good friend and frequent collaborator Chris Pancoe. He’s having a sale of his ceramics at his house. His mugs make coffee taste better. Click here for the details.

My exhibition at the Museum of Art of North Dakota continues until mid-January. Titled Dear Margery, the show is a collection of drawings, paintings, sculptures and puppets inspired by an art residency I did in McCanna, North Dakota. There’s a catalogue for the show as well as a music CD called Vanished Days, and a DVD of the music videos….most of the items are available at my online shop

And as always I have a large collection of work at the Falafel Place and the Albert Street Cocktail Company, whether you need to a good dose of falafel balls with hot sauce or a fancy cocktail to help you through the holidays.

Designs:

I’ve started up a Facebook page called James Culleton Designs. Like it! I’ll be posting new upholstery, textiles, shoes, and many other products there so be sure to tune in.
