Nuit Blanche 2016

Nuit Blanche 2016 was truly exciting. Easily Winnipeg’s most important collective art festival, Nuit Blanche is an all night art party that features light inspired artists from across the country. I’ve been participating in this for several years now and have tried many different mediums. Tea Lights, balloons and flashlights, and LEDs just to list a few.

This year I was able to partner with Cascades, a local recycling group and used 2 litre bottles and LEDs to create a display of light on the Red River! The river proved to be a challenging canvas to work with. I was very happy with the results but I’m looking forward to pushing this idea further next year. Thanks you to all the volunteers that helped me execute the project, to my friends who helped in some of the construction, and to Nuit Blanche Winnipeg and Culture Days for all the support.
